There is no excavation this year at the Ness of Brodgar due to the Corona virus, and the site is closed to the public. However, as 2020 artist-in-residence, I have been given access to the site in order to capture the essence of the place and share it with you through my art. These plein air oil paintings were painted on site and are available for purchase. Proceeds of the purchase price will be donated to the Ness of Brodgar.
Films of the Tankerness Museum exhibition of my artworks interwoven with finds from various Ness of Brodgar excavation seasons.
Film of my almost fourteen-meter-long oil painting of the hills of Hoy as displayed in Northlight Gallery, Stromness.
I spent one day at the excavation on Wyre in 2011. These drawings were made that day.
